The CHC Code of Practice for the Marketing of Complementary Healthcare and Healthfood Products
The Complementary Healthcare Council advocates appropriate government regulation on complementary healthcare products which recognises the low risk nature of the products but meet safety, quality and efficacy standards necessary to ensure consumer confidence.
We keep members up to date with industry developments as they happen with regular communications in the form of our Technical Alerts and Updates.
Such issues include new or changed regulatory requirements of the Therapeutic Goods Administration and Food Standards Australia New Zealand; matters arising out of the international trade and regulatory agreements; developments relating to specific products including warnings and technical developments; changes in manufacturing and labelling requirements and changes in advertising rules and claims.
As the peak industry body for complementary healthcare products we are the first to know, and as members, you are next to hear about matters directly affecting your business’ success.
